OregonAEYC "In Our Own Way" Diversity Training

Reflecting and Writing on "In Our Own Way: How Anti-Bias Work Shapes Our Lives" Examine the perspectives which shape cultural identity as presented in the text "In Our Own Way: How Anti-Bias Work Shapes Our Lives." Reflect on your own journey in anti-bias work and share the perspectives of others. Write your own narrative as you develop a plan for approaches that promote anti-bias attitudes and paractices.

Taught by Hadiyah Miller, M.A. Human Development form Pacific Oaks College. ECE Faculty at Portland Community College.
Twelve hour class, Set Two in Diversity. Class meets 6:00 -9:00 pm on April 15, 29 and May 13 & 20.

Oregon Child Care Director Certificate Training Series

Thanks to funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided through the Oregon Child Care Division, the Director Certificate Training Series will be returning for the sixth year. Applications are now closed for this year but will re-open in the Fall.

A diiverse group of early childhood professional and students have explored personal identity, purpose, and responsibility in the field of Early Care and Education. Regional Summits have resulted in regional action plans to foster increased professional engagement and increase community support for ECE. To join in on-going group work contact Christyn.

Do you want college credit for your CDA or Step 7 on the Oregon Registry?
